SATURDAY 3RD AUGUST 2024 / 10 AM - 16 PM / 6 HOURS WORKSHOP (INCLUDING 1 HOUR BREAK)
 
You will learn how to:
turn handwoven organic kala cotton fabric into a garment of your choice;  A wrap skirt, a kimono top or a halter top.
custom tailor the standard fit to your size.
 Source the right fabrics, dyes, mordants for your design.
source equipment for your own dye studio
make and use natural mordants 
make and use natural dyes from whole plant materials & extract powders.
use a range of  application techniques for bundle dyeing.
create long lasting results
prepare, mordant and dye your handmade garment without the use of any harmful synthetic chemicals.
 
You will go home with:
A digital hand-out of the workshop
The recipes for mordants and colour modifiers
your own handmade and handdyed creation
 
You'll have the opportunity to write down a positive affirmation or intention and attach it to your garment before adding it to the dyebath. Allowing its positive energy to absorb into the garment through the water crystals during the dyeing process.   
 
This workshop is not a learning-how-to-sew workshop and requires basic sewing skills and knowledge of how to use a sewing machine and a needle & thread.
