THE SILK BRALETTE At the beginning of the workshop, you’ll choose a silk bralette in the size that fits you best. Each bralette is lovingly handmade in our own atelier and available in sizes XS/S, S/M, M/L, and L/XL. Soft, adjustable, and gentle on the skin, they’re designed for comfort and elegance. ___________________________________ SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS Our bralettes are crafted from 100% organic lotus silk. One of the most exceptional textiles we work with. This rare and luxurious fabric is created from the delicate fibers of the lotus plant, harvested by hand through a slow, mindful process that respects both tradition and sustainability. This plant-based silk is a beautiful animal-friendly alternative on traditional silks. With its natural softness, subtle sheen, and lightweight breathability, lotus silk feels like a second skin, connecting you to nature with every wear. ____________________________________ NATURAL DYEING During the workshop, you’ll explore the natural dyeing process step by step, learning how plants create beautiful colors and how different mordants and techniques can transform shades. Giving your bralette beautiful dreamy flower prints. We’ll also practice traditional methods such as Japanese Shibori, allowing you to create unique, organic patterns that make your bralette truly one of a kind. ____________________________________ WHAT’S INCLUDED Pre-mordanted silk bralette (worth €85) All natural dye ingrediënts Tools for natural dyeing and Shibori techniques Digital handout with step-by-step instructions ____________________________________ PRACTICAL INFORMATION The workshop start from 12:00 to 15:00 in our atelier in Rotterdam. If the weather is nice , we’ll work in the garden, surrounded by plants and blooming flowers. To ensure a relaxed and personal experience, the workshop is limited to 8 participants. This way, everyone has enough space to create their bralette. ____________________________________ CANCELATION Cancellation of the workshop is possible and free of charge up to 1 week in advance. If you cancel from 1 week before the workshop, a 50% refund will be made. If you cancel 24 hours in advance, the right to a refund will lapse. This also applies with a no-show. IKIGAIA reserves the right to cancel the workshop up to 6 days before the start of the workshop if there are not enough participants. There is not enough participation if less than 3 paying participants have registered up to 1 week before the workshop.
