NATURAL DYE WORKSHOPS

With natural dyeing of textiles we work in harmony with Nature. Without exploiting her or to overcome her limitations, but by following her natural cycles and allowing her full expression as we slowly extract the beautiful colours from the natural world around us.

By learning about different techniques and the purpose of natural dyeing  you not only open doors to a new journey of discovering the beautfiul world of natural colours, but also explore the creativity within yourself. You'll learn to create as nature does and I'll teach you everything nature has taught me, so that you can bring the colors into your own life with the creations you make with your own hands.

Express your creativity and create textile arts of nature with this hands-on Bundle dyeing & Eco-printing workshop. You will learn how to:

  • source the right fabrics, dyes, mordants.

  • source equipment for your own dye studio

  • make and use natural mordants 

  • make and use natural dyes from whole plant materials & extract powders.

  • use a range of  application techniques for bundle dyeing, eco-printing.

  • prepare, mordant and dye protein and cellulose fibres without the use of any harmful synthetic chemicals.

  • use a range of  application techniques for Shibori patterning

  • modify colours using assists

  • create a naturally dyed, shibori patterned scarf using your new skills

  • prepare, mordant and dye protein and cellulose fibres without the use of any harmful synthetic chemicals.

  • turn an organic fabric into a garment.

  • custom tailor the standard fit to your size.

  •  Source the right fabrics, dyes, mordants for your design.

  • source equipment for your own dye studio

  • make and use natural mordants 

  • make and use natural dyes from whole plant materials & extract powders.

  • use a range of  application techniques for bundle dyeing.

  • create long lasting results

  • prepare, mordant and dye your handmade garment without the use of any harmful synthetic chemicals.
